Ferry Tayle

Ferry Tayle, born Ludovic Meyer in 1982 and based in Strasbourg, is a French uplifting trance producer and DJ who started on jazz saxophone at age seven before discovering electronic music through Jean-Michel Jarre and buying his first set of DJ decks in 1999. His earliest commercial output came via the Cape Town production duo project, whose 2008 album Aviateur drew early critical attention within the uplifting trance scene.

His breakthrough as Ferry Tayle followed in 2009 and 2010 through Will Holland's Enhanced label, where his collaboration with Static Blue on L'Acrobat, released in 2010, became an anthem within the genre. He went on to found his own label, Always Alive Recordings, using it as a home for the more melodic, orchestral-leaning end of uplifting trance.

His second studio album, The Wizard, arrived on Always Alive on July 7, 2014, featuring collaborators including Driftmoon, Daniel Kandi, Hannah Ray, and Suncatcher, and remains among the most cited releases in his catalogue. He has continued releasing through Always Alive and the Future Sound of Egypt editorial circle, positioning his work within the cinematic, orchestral uplifting lane of trance while running Always Alive as a defining label for that sound.
