Ferry Corsten

Ferry Corsten is a Dutch DJ from Rotterdam who began playing school parties at 15 and became one of trance's most versatile figures. His career includes aliases and collaborations that have broadened his approach, notably System F, whose Out of the Blue arrived in 1999, Gouryella with Tiësto and New World Punx with Markus Schulz from 2013. Often called the King of Crossover, Corsten blends trance with progressive house, electro house and techno. His major long-form shows include an eight-hour set for 4,500 people at the Heineken Musical Hall in 2003 and the Full On Ferry concerts at Ahoy Stadium in Rotterdam from 2007 to 2009.

The Full On concept made its North American debut at New York's Roseland Ballroom in 2012 as an Electric Zoo afterparty. With New World Punx, he made an arena debut at Madison Square Garden during A State of Trance 600. Festival appearances have included Electric Daisy Carnival New York, Beyond Wonderland, Ultra Europe, Balaton Sound and Tomorrowland. Corsten founded Tsunami in 1997 and Flashover Recordings in 2005.

His weekly Corsten's Countdown ran from 2007 to 2020 for 700 episodes in more than 40 countries, followed by Resonation Radio. He received the 2000 Dancestar Award for Best Remix and was made an Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau in 2022.
