About Fernanda Martins
Fernanda Martins, born in 1982 in Medianeira, Paraná, is a Brazilian techno and hard-techno DJ who began mixing in April 2005, initially playing funk, groove and acid techno before her style evolved toward techno and the harder schranz and hardtechno subgenres. She moved to Curitiba in 2002 and immersed herself in the city's underground techno scene, drawing influence from Carl Cox, Jeff Mills and Laurent Garnier as she developed her own sound. Martins has performed in more than forty countries across the Americas, Europe and Asia, and regularly plays four-deck sets alongside fellow Brazilian hardtechno DJ Lukas, with whom she co-founded the label Audiocode Records; she separately founded Pink About It!
Records with DJ Candy Cox. She is considered one of the most prominent women in the global techno scene, having built her career from Brazil's domestic techno events outward to international clubs and festivals over roughly two decades. In 2025 she marked twenty years of DJing with a retrospective video reflecting on her path from a conservative upbringing in Paraná to an established international touring career.
Her catalogue and label work continue to be distributed through her own imprints alongside Devotion Records and Hardwork Records.
