Fatum
Fatum is an American electronic act now led by Daniel Davis and Bruce Karlsson, with a touring career that has taken the pair through Anjunabeats, Armada and Ultra-affiliated festival stages. Originally a four-piece founded in 2014 with Chad Newbold and the late Bill Hamel, the group narrowed to its current duo lineup after Hamel's passing in 2018 and Newbold's later departure. Their DJ sets and live shows have appeared at EDC Las Vegas and Ultra Music Festival, and a 2024 performance at Virgo in Manhattan was released as a recorded set blending organic trance, melodic techno and progressive house.
Two Grammy nominations and more than twenty number-one Billboard Dance chart entries have followed a catalogue exceeding 300 tracks, released through Anjunabeats, Armada, Black Hole Recordings, mau5trap and Insomniac's Ultra imprint. Support from Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, The Chainsmokers, Calvin Harris and Paul Oakenfold has kept their productions circulating widely in other DJs' sets. Davis has also built TheDJBlueprint, a platform coaching DJs and producers on career strategy, extending his footprint in the scene beyond performing.
The duo have described their sound as organic trance, a genre framing that runs through both their studio catalogue and their touring sets.
