DVBBS — Big Room EDM DJ DuoDVBBS
DVBBS is the Canadian brother duo of Alexandre and Christopher van den Hoef, from Orangeville, Ontario, whose high-energy EDM combines house, big-room scale and dance-pop crossover. Formed in 2012, the pair first released the Initio EP before reaching a much wider audience with Tsunami, produced with Borgeous. Pete Tong confirmed the record on BBC Radio 1 in 2013; it was released through Sander van Doorn's Doorn Records and became a Beatport chart leader.
The vocal version, Tsunami (Jump), featuring Tinie Tempah, topped both the UK singles and dance charts. DVBBS have played more than 750 shows over a five-year span and appeared on the main stages at Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival and Creamfields. Their touring has also put them alongside Tiësto, NERVO, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Showtek, Sander van Doorn and DJ Snake.
Their awards include the Canadian Urban Music Award for One to Watch, an EMPO Award for Track of the Year, Canadian Music Week Indie Awards, and a 2026 EDMA Award for Dance/Pop Song of the Year; they have also received several Juno nominations. Tsunami surpassed one billion streams and achieved platinum status, among a run of 12 platinum singles. With releases through Universal, Kanary, Doorn, Spinnin' and Ultra, DVBBS have turned a festival-ready, high-volume sound into a durable international DJ identity.
