Dubdogz
Dubdogz is a Brazilian DJ and production duo formed by twin brothers Marcos and Lucas Ruback Schmidt, born in Juiz de Fora, Minas Gerais in 1993. Before forming Dubdogz in 2016, the brothers ran separate solo projects, Wega and Ruback, developing their skills individually before combining efforts under the Dubdogz name.
Their breakout moment came with a remix of Foster the People's “Pumped Up Kicks,” made in collaboration with Joy Corporation, which drew more than twenty million streams on Spotify, followed by their own track “Techno Prank,” which has surpassed fifty-seven million plays. Their collaboration with Bhaskar, “Infinity,” extended their reach further, passing seventy-eight million plays and charting among the most-played tracks in France and Germany.
Working across slap house, slap bass, progressive trance, progressive house and deep house, Dubdogz have built a sound designed for both streaming audiences and club and festival sets, releasing through Spinnin' Records among other labels. Now with roughly a decade as a duo, the twins have grown from regional Brazilian solo projects into an internationally streamed dance act, with their DJ sets and remixes carrying a sound that moves fluidly between several strands of contemporary house and bass music.
