Dominik Eulberg
Dominik Eulberg is a well-travelled German techno and house DJ signed to Kompakt, with sets described as blending physical groove and heady melody through deep, hard, textural, and emotive shades of the two genres. His DJ bookings have taken him across clubs and festivals in Europe, South America, and the United States over more than ten years in the game. On record, his second album “Heimische Gefilde” won the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik in 2007, followed by the widely acclaimed “Diorama” in 2011, and he has built a parallel reputation as a remixer, reworking close to 100 tracks for artists including Hot Chip, DJ Hell, Tiefschwarz, and Roman Flügel. Away from the booth, Eulberg is also a trained ornithologist, a background that regularly surfaces in his interviews and in nature-themed track titles such as “Lepidoptera.” His Kompakt releases and DJ mixes, including the “Lepidoptera DJ Mix,” have kept him closely tied to the label's melodic, detail-oriented strain of techno, and he remains a regular guest on electronic music podcasts discussing both his music and his ornithological interests.
