DJ T.
DJ T., born Thomas Koch in Düsseldorf in 1969, started his DJ career in the 1980s, adopting the DJ T. name in 1987 and holding a residency at Frankfurt's Music Hall alongside regular appearances at Dorian Gray and, through the 1990s, at the Box beneath the Frankfurt Schauspielhaus, with additional exposure on the Hr3 clubnight.
In 1989 he founded Groove magazine, editing it until 2004, and in 2002 became part of the six-producer collective behind the Berlin label Get Physical Music, through which he released the albums “Boogie Playground” in 2005, “The Inner Jukebox” in 2009, and “The Pleasure Principle” in 2011. His 2000 collaboration with Steve Bug, “Monsterbaze,” appeared on Bug's Poker Flat Recordings, and fabric London later marked a decade of Get Physical with a dedicated DJ T.
mix for the club. Since 2017 he has focused on DJing for ecstatic and conscious dance events, a direction inspired by a trip to Peru, and subsequently founded the label Pura Danza to support that scene, extending a DJ career now spanning more than three decades from Frankfurt clubland to Berlin's house and techno export scene.
