DJ Peligro
DJ Peligro, born Markos Joel Vásquez Minaya in Lima, is a Peruian DJ, record producer, and composer working primarily in reggaeton and electronic music. He began DJing at age thirteen and gained popularity across Lima nightclubs by 2008, later consolidating his production career with the track “Soy Soltera y Hago lo que Quiero” and collaborations with Peruvian television personality Tilsa Lozano.
Beyond club work, Peligro built a media presence through radio and television, working with Radio Moda, América Televisión, and Radio La Zona between 2015 and 2021, extending his reach as a selector beyond the club circuit into broadcast. His mix series Perreolandia has become a recurring vehicle for his reggaeton and perreo-focused sets, distributed through YouTube and SoundCloud under his own name.
A documentary on his career highlighted his path as one of the first Peruvian DJs to create original productions rather than working solely from other artists' catalogs. His output, including tracks like “Candy Perreo” and “Bellakeo Coqueteo,” has sustained a following built through club performances, streaming platforms, and his own Danger Records imprint, positioning him as a fixture of Peru's urban and reggaeton DJ scene for close to two decades.
