Paulette
DJ Paulette, born Paulette Constable in Manchester in 1966, was one of only two female residents at the Hacienda, holding the Flesh Nites residency there from 1991 to 1995 during the club's defining years. She later moved to London to play garage nights at Heaven before taking residencies at Brighton's Zap Club and at Ministry of Sound.
Relocating to Paris in December 2004, she secured a weekly residency on Radio FG the following April, then moved to Ibiza in 2013 to hold a residency at ITACA in San Antonio and host Vista Club at Privilege, becoming a summer resident at Ibiza Rocks Hotel in 2014. She was voted Best DJette on the French and international scene at the Burn FG MTV Dance Awards in both 2007 and 2010.
Currently a resident for two programs on FG DJ Radio, including Underground FG, Paulette has spent more than three decades touring internationally while championing diversity within dance music, work highlighted in a 2024 ITV News feature on her career. Her trajectory from the Hacienda's early-90s dancefloors through Ministry of Sound, Ibiza and Parisian radio reflects one of house music's longest-running DJ careers, with her Hacienda residency remaining a touchstone of Manchester's acid house history.
