Dimitri From Paris

Dimitri from Paris, born Dimitrios Yerasimos in Istanbul before his family relocated to France, began his radio career on Radio 7 and Skyrock before joining Radio NRJ in 1986, where he introduced the first house music show broadcast in France on what was then Europe's largest FM network. Active as a DJ and producer since 1987, he has built a mix series spanning A Night at the Playboy Mansion in 2000, Disco Forever, After the Playboy Mansion, Return to the Playboy Mansion in 2008, and In the House, his first release for Defected, the UK's premier dance label. He compiled Super Disco Friends with DJ Muro and Southport Weekender with Jazzie B and Quentin Harris, and produced runway soundtracks for Chanel, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Hermes and Yves Saint-Laurent, work that runs alongside his club and radio DJ output. His remix credits include Bjork, Michael Jackson, New Order and Quincy Jones, and his early single Sacrebleu appeared on his own Yellow Productions label in 1996. Nearly four decades into his career, Dimitri from Paris remains active in French house and disco-edit DJ culture, still touring and releasing mix compilations built around his signature disco and house selections.
