Dillon Hart Francis, known as Dillon Francis, is an American DJ from Los Angeles and a key figure in bringing moombahton to a wider audience. He works across EDM, moombahton, trap and electro house, using a genre-blending approach matched by a comedic public persona. Francis rose through Mad Decent before broadening into major-label pop-EDM crossover work, while still retaining the rhythmic pull that made his early moombahton sets distinctive. In February 2012, his EP Something, Something, Awesome made him the first moombahton artist to reach number one on Beatport's releases chart.
His festival record includes Camp Bisco, EDC, Coachella, TomorrowWorld, Ultra and Electric Zoo, and he headlined Hard Summer in 2018. He also performs as DJ Hanzel, another outlet within his DJ persona. Francis has released through Mad Decent, Columbia Records between 2014 and 2017, Owsla and Astralwerks. DJ Mag placed him 73rd in October 2013.
In May 2020, he joined Steve Aoki and deadmau5 for the Fortnite Party Royale premiere. His live work has consistently treated stylistic range and playful performance character as complementary, moving from moombahton foundations into trap-influenced EDM without losing the club-ready focus that shaped his breakthrough.
