Dieselboy is the stage name of Damian Higgins, an American drum and bass DJ and producer born in 1972 in Tarpon Springs, Florida, who has spent more than two decades touring under the Planet Human banner while running his own label, Human Imprint. He co-founded the dubstep and electro-focused label SubHuman and was a member of Planet of the Drums alongside DJ Dara, part of a wave of American DJs who helped establish drum and bass as a viable touring genre in the United States during the late 1990s and 2000s. Based in Brooklyn, New York, Higgins built his early reputation through compilation mixing work, including a drum and bass collection assembled for Suburban Base Records aimed at the American market at the request of the label's Dan Donnelly. Dieselboy has continued releasing music and touring as a DJ, with recorded sets circulating on SoundCloud documenting his ongoing club and festival dates. His career reflects one of the longer-running tenures among American drum and bass DJs, having remained active across the genre's shifting subgenres from its underground UK-import phase through its later dubstep-adjacent expansion.
