Deepack
Deepack is a Dutch hardstyle DJ and production act founded by Marcel van der Zwan and Frank Pechler, who began producing and playing together in the early 1990s before being joined for a period by Ramon Roelofs. Regarded as one of the earliest hardstyle acts, the duo helped shape the genre's foundations and influenced many of the producers who now lead the scene.
Van der Zwan and Pechler are primarily responsible for the group's DJ sets and live performances, appearing regularly on lineups at major hardstyle festivals including Defqon.1, Qlimax, Hard Bass, Q-BASE, Reverze, Intents and Decibel outdoor. Their catalogue includes the Qlimax 2003 anthem The Prophecy, along with tracks like Drop Out, 100%, Blue Horizons and Here's Johnny, and the single Stampuh, produced with The Prophet for Scantraxx.
In 2006 the pair founded their own label, Hardcopy Recordings, which has released material from artists including Josh & Wesz and the Stereotuners. Deepack's continued presence on hardstyle festival bookings, decades after their formation, reflects their standing as one of the scene's foundational touring acts, with recent dates including Defqon.1 and Multigroove Festival.
