Dee Montero
Dee Montero is a Belfast-born electronic artist who started DJing on vinyl and attending raves in his home city in the early 1990s before establishing himself as a touring house and melodic techno DJ. He held a residency at Mambo Ibiza and has spent recent years building a following in India, completing two tours there since the pandemic with stops in Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad and Kolkata.
Montero founded the Futurescope imprint and has released through Renaissance Records, Diynamic, All Day I Dream, Anjunadeep and Knee Deep in Sound, labels that reflect his deep and melodic house sound. Since the early 2000s he has worked closely with fellow artist Loew, with the pair releasing several records together on Renaissance Records, including the 2022 EP Solena/Origins, which paired Montero's sunset-inspired Solena with a nostalgic collaborative track.
His lockdown-era EP Odisea also came out on Renaissance Records. Montero continues to combine studio output with an active touring schedule, using his sets to move between deep, atmospheric house and more driving club material, and has upcoming collaborations planned with Eelke Kleijn's Days Like Nights imprint.
