David Tort — House & Techno DJ & ProducerDavid Tort
David Tort is a Spanish DJ and producer from Sitges who started his career in 1988 and has spent more than three decades behind the decks. Tort held a six-year residency at Space Miami, a booking that placed him within one of the most prominent club rooms in the United States dance scene, and he has played main-stage sets at Tomorrowland, Summerland and WeAreElectric. His productions, including tracks such as Changes, 7 Eleven and L.A.
Girl, have fed directly into his own DJ sets and into the wider house and techno circuit he plays across Europe and the Americas. Tort founded HoTL Records, a label he has used both to release his own material and to support the sets he plays on tour, and he has also released through Toolroom, Spinnin' Deep, Doorn Records, Stereo Productions and Musical Freedom. Inspired early on by techno, electro and tribal sounds, Tort describes his in-demand DJ sets as central to his career alongside his studio work, and his sound spans house to techno, giving him range across peak-time club and festival slots.
His Space Miami residency remains one of the defining fixtures of his career as a touring club DJ.
