David Penn
David Penn is a Spanish DJ, producer, and remixer recognized internationally within the house music scene, with more than 15 years of experience playing as a DJ. In the 2000s, he collaborated frequently with DJ Chus to produce house and garage house tracks, including Every Night and Every Day in 2004 and Esperanza in 2005, releases that built his profile within the Spanish and broader European house circuit. He runs his own label, Urbana Recordings, and is part of the New Iberican League alongside DJ Chus and Abel Ramos, a collective that has toured together within the house scene.
Penn has played DJ sets for major labels including Defected and Glitterbox across Europe, with recurring appearances at the Defected Croatia festival. In December 2019, Traxsource named him Best House Artist of 2019, and the following year he was ranked tenth on the platform's Top Artists of 2020 list. His remix work includes a 2020 reworking of Heller and Farley Project's Ultra Flava for Defected Records and a remix of The Shapeshifters' Finally Ready later that year.
Earlier in his career, under the name Kadoc, he had a house hit with The Night Train in the mid-1990s. Penn continues to tour as a DJ across Europe, supporting his production and remix catalogue with regular club and festival dates.
