About Danny Tenaglia
Danny Tenaglia is an American DJ and producer from Brooklyn who received his first turntable and mixer in 1975 at age 15 and played his first gig the following year at Brooklyn's Miami Lounge. He became a resident DJ at Twilo in Chelsea during the 1990s after being invited to play an afterparty following Frankie Knuckles, a booking that grew into a regular residency at the club through the decade. In 2000, after 25 years behind the decks, he was asked by the owners of Miami's Club Space to inaugurate the venue, a relationship that continued for years afterward. He has recorded under aliases including Code 718, Hambone and NYLX, and his influence on New York house and techno culture spans five decades, marked in 2025 by a career celebration for 50 years as a DJ. His long residencies at Twilo and Club Space placed him at the center of New York's after-hours club culture through the late 1990s and 2000s, and he has been recognized with a Grammy nomination for his production work alongside his ongoing reputation as one of the city's defining club DJs.
