Cold Blue
Cold Blue is the trance production and DJ alias of Tobias Schuh, a German artist who has been active since 2006 across uplifting, classic and tech-trance styles. He broke through with 11 Days in 2007, a collaboration with Del Mar released on In Trance We Trust that drew support from Tiësto and Armin van Buuren, followed by the same pairing's Seven Ways, which consolidated his place on the label's roster during the late 2000s. His catalogue has since run through Black Hole Recordings and its sub-labels In Trance We Trust, Future Sound of Egypt, Subculture, Kearnage and Damaged Records, with releases appearing regularly on Armin van Buuren's A State of Trance and across the wider Black Hole compilation network. Rather than a high-volume release schedule, Cold Blue has favored a quality-over-quantity approach centered on long-form artist albums, including Winter in 2019, Summer Chills in 2020 and Mountain in 2025. That measured pace has let Schuh maintain a consistent presence within the trance scene for close to two decades, built around a small number of standout collaborations rather than constant output.
