Claudinho Brasil
Claudinho Brasil, born Claudio Perrini in Curitiba, has spent more than three decades as a touring DJ and producer within Brazil's psytrance and progressive trance scene. Active on the road since 1994, he studied music at the Faculdade de Artes do Paraná before developing what he calls Trance Performance, a live show format built around percussion, vocals, effects and real-time interaction with a Wii controller during his sets. He reached number one in the world for psytrance on Beatport in 2015 with the track O Fortuna, produced in partnership with the Harmonika project, a chart placement that extended his reputation beyond Brazil.
House Mag has ranked him among the country's top 23 most-voted DJs, and the top performer within his specific trance subgenre in that survey. His sets often incorporate reworked classics from Queen, Metallica, The Doors and Brazilian artists such as Raul Seixas and Chico Science, blended into his originals under a style he labels PopTrance. He has performed at major festivals and clubs across Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Denmark, Israel, Australia and South Africa, and played Spirit of Goa in Hamburg as recently as February 2025.
His full-length live show format sets him apart from producers who simply mix tracks, combining musicianship with turntablism across each performance.
