Chris Lake

Chris Lake is an English DJ and producer born August 8, 1982, who rose to prominence in 2006 with the single Changes, featuring Laura V, which reached number 27 on the UK Singles Chart. He first drew attention through bootleg remixes of tracks by the Prodigy, Leftfield, and Eurythmics released under the alias Cristophe D'Abuc in 2002. Lake later relocated from the UK to Los Angeles as the American dance music market grew, building a touring career that bridged UK pop-dance chart success with the American tech house underground.

In 2017, he launched his own label, Black Book Records, and that same year curated the Howsla compilation for Skrillex's Owsla imprint, which reached number one on the iTunes electronic chart and was covered by Billboard. He is a member of two collaborative projects, Under Construction with Fisher and Anti Up with Chris Lorenzo, both active vehicles for club-focused releases and joint touring dates. His single I Want You became a widely supported release on the club circuit following the Howsla compilation.

Lake continues to headline tech house stages internationally, running Black Book Records as a platform for his own material and to support the wider tech house scene he has helped shape over two decades of DJing.
