Chaim
Chaim is a Tel Aviv-born house and tech-house DJ and producer who built his reputation on labels including Sven Väth's Cocoon and Ellen Allien's BPitch Control. His sets are built around trippy, melodic tech-house that draws comparisons to the deep, groove-focused style associated with fellow Israeli DJ and collaborator Guy Gerber, with whom he has developed a close working relationship over the course of his career. Chaim's productions, including the “Safe Word” EP released via Jeudi Records, have anchored a touring schedule that Electronic Groove described as spanning shows across the globe, with his DJ sets built around soulful, textured grooves that move between melodic and melancholic tones. His releases frequently invite remix contributions from artists across the underground scene, including Deniz Kurtel and label figures like Jeudi's Doctor Dru, reflecting a collaborative approach that extends from the studio into how his tracks get reworked for club play. Chaim has spoken publicly about the commercial side of dance music overshadowing house's underground roots, a perspective that shapes the more textured, less mainstream direction of his own DJ sets and productions within the international house and tech-house touring circuit.
