Caribou

Caribou is the recording name of Dan Snaith, who performs club-oriented DJ sets both under the Caribou banner and through his dance-focused alias Daphni. Snaith recorded a two-hour BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix under the Caribou name, blending Caribou and Daphni tracks and reflecting his full immersion in club culture alongside his more song-based album work.

His Daphni project, used primarily for extended club sets, has produced marathon performances such as a seven-hour DJ set released from the Jiaolong album release party at Peckham's Bussey Building, mixed live on three CDJs. Daphni's Fabriclive 93 mix, released in 2017, further documented Snaith's approach to DJing, drawing on tracks intended first for his own sets before becoming standalone club productions.

More recently, Caribou-billed shows have included extended DJ sets, such as a seven-hour performance at London's FOLD and further sessions at Corsica Studios, alongside a 2026 Essential Mix credited to Daphni under the Caribou umbrella. Snaith's dual approach, mixing long-form club sets with his more widely known album project, has made Caribou and Daphni closely linked names within the same DJing practice rather than fully separate careers.
