About Candy Cox
Candy Cox, a hard techno DJ from Curitiba, Brazil, discovered electronic music at age 13 and learned to mix from her friend DJ Bad before working her way through Brazil's techno club circuit. She built a following playing clubs and parties across the country, including Lov.e Club, Fuel Techno and StereoPub, before Marco Remus invited her to join his booking agency, label and Stereo70 artist roster, which launched her first European tour.
Her sets draw on hard techno, booty, ghettotech, jackin techno, schranz, gabber and hardcore techno, and she has been billed in some markets as the "Hard Techno Queen." Cox toured extensively through Venezuela and Colombia, building a dedicated following at clubs such as Elmo Bar, TechnoMachines and La Casa, and returned regularly to Europe for bookings alongside major names in the genre. She has played festivals and club nights including Awakenings, Dance Valley, Technoflash, Liberty White, Aquasella and Djax it Up, and appeared at U60311 in Frankfurt and Florida 135 in Spain.
Managed by Cubbo Bookings & Artist Management, one of Spain's largest techno agencies, she prepared her first mixed CD for release on Nerven Records. Nearly two decades into her career, Cox remains defined by her club and festival touring rather than a fixed residency, built on explosive, high-energy sets across South America and Europe.
