Camea
Camea, born Camea Hoffman in Seattle, is a techno and house DJ who started as a rave DJ in the late 1990s and has spent the past fifteen years playing club and festival stages worldwide, including regular sets at Berghain and sunrise performances at Burning Man. Now based in Berlin, she runs her podcast Neverwhere from her home studio there and founded the label of the same name, alongside Clink Recordings, which she describes among the most notable imprints of the minimal techno era. She has been a mainstay artist on Bpitch Control and released through Watergate, Minus, Plus 8 and Get Physical, building a catalogue that runs parallel to her DJ bookings. Camea's floor-focused, hypnotic techno and house sets have carried her from the West Coast and Brooklyn rave scenes of her early career to international festival and club circuits over more than two decades behind the decks. Her 2020 album Dystopian Love marked a significant production milestone, arriving well into a touring career built primarily on DJ performances at clubs and festivals across the techno world, cementing her reputation as both a selector and a label figure within Berlin's electronic music community.
