Adam Richard Wiles, known as Calvin Harris, is a Scottish DJ from Dumfries whose electronic career began as bedroom production in 1999. He initially broke through using his own vocals, then moved after 2010 toward production and collaborations, later bringing a stronger funk direction into his work from 2017. As a DJ, he has built a high-profile presence in Las Vegas and Ibiza: a Wynn Las Vegas residency in 2012 led to an exclusive Hakkasan Group arrangement across Hakkasan, Wet Republic and Omnia, while his Ibiza appearances include Ushuaïa in 2019 and dual Tuesday-and-Friday residencies there in 2025 and 2026.
His festival record includes Coachella, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, EDC and the iTunes Festival; his 2014 Coachella set drew the second-largest crowd in the festival's history, and he returned in 2023. Harris founded Fly Eye Records in 2010. His awards include a Grammy for Best Music Video in 2013, Brit Awards for Producer of the Year and Single of the Year in 2019, and Dance Act in 2024.
Forbes named him its highest-paid DJ for six consecutive years from 2013 to 2018. After the 2017 Las Vegas mass shooting, he donated his Omnia performance fees to the Las Vegas Victims Fund, a notable gesture within his long Vegas association.
