Boris Brejcha

Boris Brejcha is a German DJ and producer born in Ludwigshafen in 1981 who performs behind a Joker mask inspired by the Brazilian Carnival. He began producing electronic music as a hobby at age twelve and made his first live performance in 2006 at the Universo Paralello Festival in Brazil, the same year he released his earliest tracks. He coined the term High-Tech Minimal to describe his sound, releasing music on Autist Records and later Harthouse before being named exceptional talent 2007 by the German magazine Raveline.

Early touring took him through South America and Russia as his live performances gained international traction, and by the mid-2010s he had transitioned to earning a full-time living from music. In 2015, he founded his own label, Fckng Serious, expanding his release schedule substantially. His filmed sets for the French streaming platform Cercle and his performance at Tomorrowland became career-defining moments, with the combined YouTube videos drawing roughly 140 million views.

Brejcha now performs on major stages most weekends, supported by label tours that take him and his roster across Europe by nightliner bus, and his live shows are built around a distinct visual concept beyond the music itself, reinforcing his identity as a performer as much as a producer.
