Bjorn Akesson — Trance DJ & Producer

Bjorn Akesson is a Swedish trance DJ and producer from Lund who became interested in electronic music in the mid-1990s after hearing the soundtrack to the game Wipeout 2097, later channeling that interest into producing and performing trance. He made his production debut with "Perfect Blue" in 2008, a track that, alongside early releases such as "Havannah," received support from major trance DJs including Tiesto, Armin van Buuren and Ferry Corsten. He has been affiliated with Ferry Corsten's Future Sound of Egypt imprint and with Armin van Buuren's Armada Music, and his track "Sahara" was played by van Buuren on his A State of Trance radio show ahead of its release. He has remixed tracks for other trance artists, including a remix of Dutch producer Ram Boon's material for A State of Trance, and continues to perform under the Trance DJ & Producer billing he uses across his social channels and artist pages. His career has remained centered on the trance and progressive sound that first drew him to the genre as a teenager in southern Sweden.
