Bingo Players — Electro House DJ & Label FounderBingo Players
Bingo Players is the Dutch dance project founded in Almelo in 2006 by Maarten Hoogstraten and Paul Bäumer. The project works across dance, house and electro house, with catchy vocal hooks forming a key part of its sound. Bäumer died of cancer in December 2013, after which Hoogstraten continued Bingo Players alone in accordance with Bäumer's wishes. The duo's songs include Cry (Just a Little), a top-40 hit in the Netherlands, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Australia in 2011.
Get Up (Rattle), featuring Far East Movement, reached number one in the United Kingdom in January 2013. Alongside the recording project, Bingo Players established Hysteria Records, which has also released music by Carl Trick, Ralvero and Gregori Klosman. The label gives the act a curatorial dimension beyond its own catalogue. Bingo Players' story joins Dutch electro-house roots with a continuing solo-led chapter following the loss of one founder.
Their strongest public markers remain vocal-hook-driven house tracks that travelled across national charts, plus Hysteria Records as a platform for their music and for other artists. Under Hoogstraten's continuation, the project preserves the name and musical direction originally built by both members.
