Ben Nicky is a British DJ and producer from Bristol whose sets often draw on trance, techno, hardstyle and bounce. He started his DJ career in 2007, and by 2011 his track The One, made with Cass Fox, was highlighted by Mixmag as a memorable release, drawing attention from established artists including Paul van Dyk, Tiësto and Armin van Buuren.
By 2012 he was being described as a rising star, including supporting BBC Radio 1 DJ Dave Pearce at club nights, and in 2013 he launched his own label for mash-up style releases. DJ Mag called Nicky a future king of trance in a 2016 review of one of his live gigs, and he has regularly played major festivals including Belsonic and Creamfields, building his profile primarily through club and festival touring.
In May 2019 he made his debut on the BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, performing a two-hour session that stands among the most prominent radio slots in UK dance music, and later that year he was nominated for a DJ Award in the Trance category. He continues to release genre-blending singles and remixes, including a 2024 remix of Olly Alexander's Dizzy, alongside his ongoing festival touring schedule.
