Axwell, born Axel Christofer Hedfors on December 18, 1977, in Lund, is a Swedish DJ, producer, and remixer who owns Axtone Records. He is a member of Swedish House Mafia alongside Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello, a trio that first performed together under that name on August 12, 2007, during the Main Room set at Cream Amnesia as part of BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix Ibiza. His first single, Feel the Vibe, was released in 2004, launching a production and touring career that has run continuously since the mid-1990s.
Axwell has been a two-time DJ Awards winner and was placed 19th on the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJs poll in 2013. Following Swedish House Mafia's original run, he formed the duo Axwell and Ingrosso with Sebastian Ingrosso, touring arenas and festivals worldwide with that project before Swedish House Mafia's later reunion. As Axtone's founder, he has also used the label as a platform to support and tour with other electronic acts.
His catalogue includes hits such as I Found You, Watch the Sunrise, and Don't You Worry Child, the latter recorded with Swedish House Mafia and John Martin, which became a global anthem played across his and the group's live sets throughout the 2010s.
