About Audiojack
Audiojack, the British house duo of Richard Burkinshaw and James Rial, have maintained a DJ partnership that began after the pair met in Ibiza in 2002 and formally formed as Audiojack in 2006. Resident Advisor's biography credits them with playing more than seventy countries over nearly two decades, a touring record built on releases through their own label, Gruuv, founded in 2010, as well as records on 2020Vision, Crosstown Rebels, and Hot Creations. Their sets draw on a deep, groove-led house style that has earned them a mix of BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and DJ Mag Best of British recognition over the years, cementing their standing among UK house DJs who built careers through consistent club residencies rather than one breakout hit. Both members had roots in Leeds before relocating toward Ibiza's club circuit, a trajectory that shaped their sound around both British bass-house sensibilities and the more polished, sun-drenched house typical of the island's clubs. The Gruuv label has given them a platform to release both their own tracks and material from likeminded producers, extending their influence past their own DJ bookings into the wider house scene they helped shape over the past two decades.
