Atjazz

Atjazz is the alias of Martin Iveson, a British house and nu jazz DJ, producer, remixer and label owner who emerged from the UK Midlands scene in the early 1990s before releasing his first EP, "Story," in 1996. His debut album, That Something, was licensed in Japan by Sony/Kioon in 1998, its cover illustrated by cartoonist Fujio Akatsuka, and he followed it with Labfunk and Labresults, records that established his voice within house's underground. Atjazz spent 13 years working at video game developer Core Design, home of the Tomb Raider series, before leaving to focus fully on his studio and label work. He closed his first label, Mantis Recordings, in 2009 due to adverse industry shifts, immediately launching Atjazz Record Company to house his own productions and collaborations, including his third album, Full Circle. As a remixer he has reworked material for Nitin Sawhney, Bob Sinclar, Jazzanova, Zed Bias and Henri Mancini's "The Pink Panther Returns" on commission from EMI Records, and vocalists including Clara Hill and Robert Owens have sought out his sound for their own projects, alongside his ongoing DJ bookings on the deep house and soulful house circuit.
