Arjun Vagale
Arjun Vagale is credited as a pioneer of India's techno scene, a role built through years of DJ sets that helped shape the country's early underground electronic circuit. He co-owns Odd Recordings and runs his own imprint Asymetrik, using both labels to release his intense, driven productions alongside DJ sets that showcase raw, stripped-back techno.
Vagale's career began with the group Jalebee Cartel before he moved toward a solo techno path, and his early releases were championed by artists including Richie Hawtin, lending him credibility beyond India's borders even as his profile at home continued to grow. In 2021 he released his first solo artist album through Jeff Mills' Axis Records, a milestone that placed his production work on one of techno's most respected imprints while his DJ bookings continued across India's expanding club and festival network.
He has appeared on Global Vibe Radio and similarly established international mix series, extending his reach to listeners outside India's electronic scene. Vagale continues to steer much of the country's underground movement from behind the decks, balancing club residencies and festival slots with label management duties that support other Indian techno acts alongside his own.
