Alok
Alok Achkar Peres Petrillo, known simply as Alok, is a Brazilian DJ from Goiânia who began performing professionally at age 12 alongside his twin brother Bhaskar in the psychedelic trance project Logica, playing events including Universo Paralello. He moved from psytrance toward house music as a solo artist, founding Up Club Records in 2015 after European labels passed on his material, and entering DJ Mag's Top 100 DJs poll the same year.
He has played main-stage sets at multiple editions of Tomorrowland in Belgium and Brazil, closing the festival's main stage at Tomorrowland Brazil in 2023, and made his Coachella debut in 2025 on the Sahara stage. In August 2023 he played a free beach set on Copacabana in Rio de Janeiro that drew large crowds, and he has performed at Rock in Rio and at Global Citizen events in New York and along the Amazon River alongside Indigenous musicians.
In 2019 he launched the label Controversia with Spinnin' Records, which he had signed to in 2016. His 2016 single "Hear Me Now," with Bruno Martini and Zeeba, topped Brazilian charts and reached Spotify's global top 50.
