Allure
Allure began as a trance alias created by Tijs Verwest, better known as Tiesto, who released material under the name on his own Magik Muzik label starting in 1998. For roughly a decade, the project functioned as an outlet for Tiesto's more melodic and vocal-led trance productions, distinct from his work under his own name, and it built a following among trance fans through the 2000s. Around 2011 and 2012, Tiesto handed the Allure name to the Dutch duo Showtek, comprising brothers Wouter and Sjoerd Janssen, together with producer David van den Hurk, who carried the project forward with the album Kiss from the Past, featuring vocalists Christian Burns, JES, and Emma Hewitt. That transition means Allure's identity spans two distinct creative teams rather than a single artist, all operating within the trance and progressive house space that defined the alias from the start. Wikipedia's entries on Tiesto and the broader Magik Muzik roster document this handover, giving an account of how the project moved from its Dutch trance originator to a second generation of Dutch producers who kept the name alive on the festival and radio circuit associated with melodic trance.
