Alexi Delano
Alexi Delano is a techno DJ and producer born in Chile and raised in Sweden who has spent close to three decades on the international underground circuit, later adopting New York as a base. He came up alongside fellow Swedish producers Jesper Dahlbäck, Adam Beyer, Cari Lekebusch, Robert Leiner and Joel Mull as part of the Swedish wave of techno artists that emerged from the late 1980s onward.
His catalogue spans key labels including SVEK, Turbo, Hybrid, Prime Evil, Poker Flat, Harthouse, Trapez, Items and Things and Richie Hawtin's Plus 8, along with Cari Lekebusch's H-Productions and Dubfire's Sci+Tec. Delano's sound sits in the balance between shiny minimalism and dark, vivacious techno, and his releases have continued into recent years with singles including Shift in 2022.
He has appeared in the Faze magazine interview series alongside artists like DJ Hell, reflecting his standing within the wider minimal and techno community. Delano's decades-long career bridges the Swedish techno scene's formative years with the genre's ongoing minimal and dark techno strands, and he continues to perform internationally while releasing new productions on established underground labels.
