Alex Kenji
Alex Kenji, the stage name of Italian DJ and producer Alessandro Bacci, has been playing out since the 2000s. He has released under several aliases beyond Alex Kenji, including Yoshie Chandler, Combo, Green Sugar, HouseLovers, D.L.D., Orange Love, Kaiko and Itchy Bit, and since February 2009 has co-run the labels 303Lovers and Hotfingers alongside Manuel De La Mare and Luigi Rocca, both outlets for his own and others' releases.
As a touring DJ he has played clubs across several continents, including Privilege in Ibiza, The Gallery in Brazil and the Filth Club in the United Kingdom, building sets that move between tech house and house with occasional deep house elements woven in. His 2011 single Pressure, made with Starkillers and Nadia Ali, won an International Dance Music Award and extended his profile beyond the Italian house scene where he first built a following.
Bacci has collaborated in the studio and on remix work with artists including Sharam Jey, James Brown, Tocadisco, Alex Gaudino, DJ Pierre and Milk & Sugar, relationships that have also translated into shared festival and club bookings. He continues to release and perform under the Alex Kenji name within the international tech house and house circuit.
