Alex Gaudino

Alessandro Alfonso Fortunato Gaudino, known as Alex Gaudino, is an Italian DJ from Salerno associated with Italian house and EDM. Early in his career he worked at Flying Records and UMM, then founded Rise Records in 1998 with backing from Time. He was also part of the trio Lil' Love.

In 2000, Bang, made with Robbie Rivera, received a Best European A&R nomination at the European Music Awards. His track Little Love became a key club moment in 2005 when Pete Tong played it at Nikki Beach during Winter Music Conference; it went on to top the UK Dance Chart. Gaudino signed to Ministry of Sound UK in 2006.

Destination Calabria, built around a Crystal Waters sample, then became an international signature, reaching the top 10 in nine countries and placing in the US Hot Dance chart. In 2010, I'm in Love (I Wanna Do It) led the US Hot Dance Airplay chart and reached the top 10 in both the UK and the Netherlands, while What a Feeling with Kelly Rowland reached number six in the UK in 2011. Across his DJ and label career, Gaudino has focused on sample-driven, radio-friendly dance hooks with a clear Italian-house foundation.
