About Alan Fitzpatrick

Alan Fitzpatrick, born and raised in Southampton, England, is a British techno DJ and producer whose relationship with London's fabric club dates back to when he first attended as a clubgoer roughly twelve years before being called in for an unplanned debut behind the decks. That first booking came at short notice in December, when Cari Lekebusch was unable to fly in due to weather and Fitzpatrick was phoned around midnight, drove to the club, followed James Ruskin in Room Two and closed out the room.

He has since built an ongoing association with fabric that continued well beyond that emergency stand-in performance, becoming a recurring name on the club's bookings. Fitzpatrick's sound centres on a hard, commanding style of big-room techno, released through labels including 8 Sided Dice, Drumcode and Cocoon Recordings, and closely affiliated with Adam Beyer's Drumcode circle.

Since the late 2000s he has combined that label output with steady touring, describing DJing as the pursuit that came first for him even as his production profile grew. His career reflects a path shaped by London's club scene, moving from an underage fabric regular to a resident-level name within its techno programming, while remaining a touring DJ across European and international club and festival dates.
