DJ Akhil Talreja, known across India as the Tapori King of Bollywood Music, has held the number one spot among DJs in both Mumbai and India on djlist.com's rankings for 2013, 2014 and 2015. His sets blend Bollywood remixes with commercial dance tracks for club and event crowds across India, a practice he began in his late teens before turning it into a full touring and teaching career.
Talreja founded PartyMap DJ Academy, which has grown to more than ten branches across cities including Mumbai, Pune, Surat, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad, training a generation of Indian club DJs in his mixing style. He became the first DJ in India to compose and program title music for an OTT web series when he worked on the theme for Amazon Prime's Four More Shots Please Season 2, extending his DJ-honed sound design into screen work.
Talreja has remixed music for more than a dozen Bollywood films, feeding his own productions directly back into his club sets and events across India. His career reflects the specific commercial Bollywood-remix niche of Indian club DJing, built through years of touring India's club circuit alongside his academy and production work rather than international festival bookings.
