Agnelli & Nelson
Agnelli & Nelson are the Northern Irish trance and electronic duo of Christopher Agnew and Robert Nelson, active as DJs and producers since 1997. The pair produced five UK Top 40 hits, among them El Nino, which reached number 21, and Everyday, which peaked at number 17 in the UK and was reissued internationally as Every Day, Every Moment, Every Time, tracks that anchored their DJ sets throughout the late-1990s and 2000s trance boom.
They released and remixed material under Xtravaganza, Tsunami Records, ID&T, Vandit, Coldharbour Recordings and Subculture, among other trance-focused labels, and also recorded under alternate names including Afterburn, Cortez, Green Atlas, Quincey & Sonance and The A&N Project. As remixers they reworked tracks for artists ranging from Armin van Buuren to U2, and their collaborator list includes Matt Darey, Jon the Dentist, Scott Bond, Solarstone and Chicane, all figures from the same UK trance DJ circuit.
Agnelli & Nelson appeared on BBC Radio 1 six times, a mark of their standing within the national trance scene during its commercial peak. Their catalog of Top 40 singles and label-hopping discography reflects a duo whose DJ sets and productions were closely intertwined across more than a decade of trance touring.
