Adaro
Adaro, the Dutch producer and DJ born Thijs Ploegmakers, has built his career around raw hardstyle since shifting into the genre in 2008, playing major hardstyle stages including Defqon.1 in both the Netherlands and Australia, Qlimax, Mysteryland, Tomorrowland, Q-BASE, Qapital, Reverze and EDC Las Vegas. He entered the scene through the electronic group Driftwood, known for the radio hit "Freeloader," before regrouping with Dirk Jans as trance duo Shocksteady and eventually pivoting fully to hardstyle. In March 2015 he became a founding member of the label and collective Roughstate alongside Ran-D, B-Front and Frequencerz, and he continues to perform as one half of the hardstyle project Gunz For Hire with Ran-D, formed in 2011. His releases have appeared on Q-Dance, Scantraxx, Dirty Workz and his own imprint history with A2 Records, and in 2013 he placed 75th in the DJ Mag Top 100. Adaro's club and festival following spans well beyond the Netherlands, with dedicated hardstyle audiences reported across the Americas, Europe, Australia and Asia, reflecting the international reach his raw hardstyle sound has built over more than a decade of touring.
