Ac Slater
AC Slater, born Aaron Clevenger, established his reputation over roughly five years as a member of the Brooklyn DJ collective and label Trouble & Bass, a crew that also gave an early internship to Baauer before his breakout with “Harlem Shake.” Slater's DJ sets and productions helped shape a bass house sound that later found a dedicated home on his own label, Night Bass Records, through which he has continued to release his own material and support other artists in the genre. He divides his time between New York City and Los Angeles, touring behind a catalogue that blends bass house, mainstage and driving techno textures documented across his recorded DJ sets. His debut artist album, Outsiders, marked a significant release for Night Bass, extending the label's reach as both a vehicle for Slater's own music and a platform for the wider bass house scene he helped build. AC Slater's ongoing club and festival dates continue to draw on this bass-forward sound, with his Beatport-charted DJ sets showing a style that spans mainstage bass house records alongside techno and trance-adjacent material, reflecting a broadening of his sets beyond his Trouble & Bass roots.
