A-Lusion
A-Lusion is the Dutch hardstyle DJ and producer identity of Onne Witjes, born in Elst in 1983, who was discovered and signed by label Scantraxx in 2003 on the strength of his debut release, "Re-Count." He played his first live show in 2004 at Amsterdam’s Heineken Music Hall at age 20, and has since performed at major hardstyle festivals including Qlimax and Defqon.1, mainstays of the euphoric hardstyle circuit he helped popularize. In late 2009 he formed the producer duo Second Identity with Scope DJ, releasing one album under that name before both returned to solo work, and in 2010 he launched the Scantraxx Radioshow, presenting new hardstyle releases to listeners on a monthly basis. He ended his Scantraxx affiliation in 2012 and founded his own label, Lussive Music, the same year he began the Out in the Open album series, which ran for three installments through 2014. A-Lusion has released widely across the hardstyle scene’s key labels, including DJS Records, Explosive Records, Blutonium Records and Italian Hardstyle, and has recorded collaborative tracks with Zatox, Unifite, S-Dee, Betavoice and Luna, reflecting a career built on steady genre-scene collaboration as much as solo festival billing.
