Thomas Schumacher — Techno DJ, Producer & Composer

Thomas Schumacher is a German techno DJ, producer and composer who has performed regularly at Berlin clubs including Ritter Butzke, Birgit, Magdalena and Suicide Club, alongside regional dates in Paris, London, Melbourne and the Dortmund and Essen area. He appeared at SonneMondSterne in Jena on a bill featuring Paul Kalkbrenner, Armin van Buuren, Amelie Lens, Boris Brejcha and Charlotte de Witte, and has played back-to-back sets with fellow techno DJ Gregor Tresher across venues in Hamburg, Sydney, South Australia and beyond. His sixth studio album was released in April 2013 on his own label, Electric Ballroom, and he has represented Get Physical Music during European tours, with additional releases through Noir Music, Bush Records and Voltage. His DJ dates have also included EAST Techno Collective bookings at Amsterdam's Paradiso and appearances alongside artists such as Anna Reusch and Diamandy in Berlin and Stockholm. Recording under the alias Elektrochemie as well as his own name, Schumacher has maintained an active club touring schedule since his first documented dates in the early 2000s, cementing his position within Germany's techno DJ circuit.
