Silicone Soul
Silicone Soul are a Glasgow house production and DJ duo of Craig Morrison and Graeme Reedie, active since 1998 after the pair first played together in the rock band Dead City Radio before turning to electronic music. They have released five albums on Soma Quality Recordings, the influential Scottish label they are most closely associated with: "...A Soul Thing" in 2000, "Staring Into Space" in 2005, "Save Our Souls" in 2006, a self-titled album in 2009, and "The Soma 20 Remixes" in 2012.
Their single "Right On!," featuring vocalist Louise Claire Marshall, reached number one on the UK Dance Singles Chart in October 2001 and charted across Europe, becoming the duo's best-known crossover moment. Beyond their Soma releases, Morrison and Reedie run their own label, Darkroom Dubs, which they have operated for more than a dozen years, giving them an independent platform alongside their Soma output.
Their DJ sets have included residency dates at La Terrazza in Barcelona, and the duo have picked up multiple DJ Mag nominations across their career. Also recording as Astrocats, Silicone Soul's house sound has remained rooted in the Glasgow scene that shaped their earliest work together.
