Rhiannon
Rhiannon, known professionally as Rhiannon Roze, is a Canadian DJ, MC and producer who taught herself to DJ in 2000 on Technics 1200 turntables and a Behringer mixer, then spent her first eight years behind the decks playing house, grime and bassline vinyl in Vancouver's underground dance scene between 2001 and 2007. She has been DJing since 2001, writing lyrics and performing as an MC since 2011, and producing her own material since 2017, a triple-threat combination that distinguishes her from DJs who rap or sing over others' productions rather than their own live vocals. After building her reputation in Vancouver, she moved into international touring to expand opportunities for female DJs, a mission that took her across multiple continents over more than a decade on the road. A dual citizen of Canada and the United Kingdom and a legal permanent resident of the United States, she is now based in Los Angeles, where she continues to perform and record. Her career is built on a foundation of vinyl-era club residencies before she added original production to her live shows.
