RAN-D

Ran-D, the Dutch hardstyle producer and DJ born Randy Wieland on 18 May 1981, has built a catalogue of anthem-scale tracks including Living for the Moment, his Cranberries-sampling Zombie, and Hurricane, which topped the Q-dance Top 100 in 2018. He is one half of the duo Gunz for Hire alongside Adaro, a pairing that has played major hardstyle stages together since 2011, and in March 2015 he co-founded the label Roughstate Music with Adaro, Frequencerz, and B-Front to release his own records and support other artists in the genre. His DJ sets are a fixture at Q-dance-affiliated events, and he has performed at Decibel Outdoor Festival, Reverze, Q-BASE, and The Qontinent, festivals that anchor the European hardstyle touring circuit. Ran-D's style favors driving kicks and euphoric melodic breakdowns typical of mainstream hardstyle, and his catalogue of collaborations with acts across the Q-dance roster has kept him a regular presence on festival lineups for over a decade. Wikipedia documents his career from early releases through the Roughstate years, giving a continuous record of a DJ and producer who has built his profile specifically within the hardstyle scene rather than crossing into other dance genres.
