Joseph Capriati
Giuseppe Capriati, known as Joseph Capriati, is an Italian techno DJ born in 1987 in Caserta who started DJing in 1998 at age 11 and later became resident DJ at the Disco Seven Club under the name Prince J, mentored early on by Rino Cerrone and Markantonio. He made his professional debut in 2007 with the Formaldehyde EP on Sasha Carassi's Globox Recordings and debuted on Adam Beyer's Drumcode Records in 2009, becoming a regular artist on Drumcode's roster and playing venues including Berghain, Awakenings and Fabric. He has played extended marathon sets, including a 25-and-a-half hour performance at Heart Club Miami in 2017 and a set exceeding 27 hours at Sunwaves Festival in Romania in 2019. Since 2016 he has been a fixture at Timewarp in Mannheim, closing its main stage in recent years, and he has performed regularly at Monegros Festival since 2011. In 2016 he launched his own label, Redimension, and in 2022 he introduced Metamorfosi, a touring event series built on his 2020 album of the same name that blends techno, house and melodic DJ sets across residencies at Amnesia Ibiza and one-off events in London.
